"Lovely! I highly recommend this spot. They were so nice to my dog. I had tacos and my parents had a pizza, we all had some beers and the fried mushrooms were great! As was the chili. Partner had the brat burger which was great too. A great spot!"

"We stopped in with friends while visiting Mercer over a four day weekend and to say the least we weren't disappointed. Our first impression of the outside pulling up wasn't much... However, the inside is quite exceptional. Such a warm and cozy environment decorated with such detail. Dark woods ornamented with unique hand picked decorations fill the place. It was quite busy for a Saturday afternoon but there still was plenty of room for us to sit. We were seated near the back of the establishment and our server was quick to get us menus and to take our orders. The drinks came out relatively fast and were priced competitively with other similar establishments in the area. We went out back to check out the grounds persay and were surprised to find a creek and wooded area that added to the ambience of the place. We didn't eat there that day, but all agreed the food we saw both offered and being consumed at other tables looked delicious. We will definitely return the next time in town."

"Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. If you like bbq ribs, you won't be disappointed! The food is incredible. We keep going back and haven't ever had an issue."

"We waited way too long - a couple of years - to try Black Bear Bar. Now that we finally made it, we can't wait to return. The BBQ ribs are divine. Not only are they fall off the bone tender, but they are grilled and served with a nice dark crispy char. The sauce is perfect. They have Spotted Cow on draft. Now I can't wait to try the Bear Burger - 1/4 pound brat patty with a 1/3 pound burger."

"This spot is a unique north woods establishment! I had breakfast here and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious. The bloody mary is a must try. I hear the lunch and dinner options are good as well, so I would for sure go back. Lastly in the fall the service can be a bit slow but it's worth the wait (I was there on a Sunday around 11). Overall a cool experience and the food is solid."

"Excellent service and fantastic food, every time! Pizza was great on Tuesday's cash only on this day of the week. and the fish fry is absolutely perfect M, W, THR, F, S, and S. Not Tuesday. The breakfast is the quality that you crave with good portions."

- Donald S.

"Very nice place with good service and outstanding decorations. They could use a paved parking lot as some grass grows over it and part of the lot is sort of overgrown. The atmosphere upon walking in was very fun and exotic. Lots of animal hides around the wall as well as multiple fish which really makes for a nice up north vibe. The bear droppings appetizer is not that spicy and we recommend it! We got a large pizza to split which was hot yet on par and the drinks were also spot on. No deserts here, and they have breakfast on the whole week menu, but FYI the fine print says they only have breakfast Friday- Sunday. Would recommend"
